Kawartha Lakes OPP seize more than 2,270 cannabis plants from property near Sebright

Two guys encounter rates next the seizure of 2,274 cannabis crops from a residence in the Metropolis of Kawartha Lakes this month.

In accordance to OPP on Friday, as portion of an investigation, investigators on Aug. 8 executed a lookup warrant at a house on Morton Lane just north of the neighborhood of Sebright.

Law enforcement say the variety of crops was the equivalent to “two dump vans full” and is worthy of an approximated $2.274M.

Officers also seized two ounces of cannabis resin (believed price of $560), seven grams of cocaine (estimated price of $700), an RV cellular property, an ATV and a prohibited weapon.

Two adult men have been positioned at the scene and arrested.

Nick Elliott, 46, of Norwood, and Donald Corridor, 59, of Centre Hastings, were each billed with:

  • Cultivate, propagate or harvest any cannabis plant at a spot that is not their dwelling-house (or offer you to do so)
  • Possession of hashish for the function of distributing

Corridor was on top of that billed with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possession of a Timetable I substance – cocaine

They have been launched and are scheduled to surface in court in Lindsay on Sept. 9.

The investigation included associates of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP’s Local community Street Criminal offense Device, with assistance from CSCU in Haliburton Highlands, Peterborough and Northumberland, together with the Business of the Ontario Fire Marshal (OFM) and area firefighters.
