Blissful Experience of a Villa Spa
Table of Contents
ToggleDriving along the streets of Ubud reminded me to the news a heard a few months ago, Bali was named as the Best Spa Tourism Destination 2009 by Berlin based fitness magazine, Senses. The news itself was not a surprise as during the last decades I have been seeing Bali having more and more spas. I do not really pay attention in their offerings but I believe Bali has the widest range of available options in many point of views, various treatments from Indian ayurveda to traditional Balinese boreh, various price range from the ones on Poppies Lane on backpacker’s paradise of Kuta to Prana at the trendy enclave of Seminyak which is popular to the higher end holiday makers.
You can find spa in almost every tourist enclave across the island but I believe most are concentrated in the hillside resort town of Ubud. Serene environment surrounded by verdant rice fields and tropical forest, Ubud has perfect setting for blissful body, mind, and soul rejuvenation. For those who are prepared to pay more for luxury there are a number of names to consider such as Prana in Seminyak, Mandara Spa with various outlets in different locations, Thalasso at Grand Mirage Nusadua, Begawan Giri Spa in Ubud, Frangipani at Sheraton Nusadua, and Pita Maha Resort and Spa in Ubud are just to name some.
But what if you are among the new wave holiday style that seek for privacy as the sixth star beyond five-star luxury standard? In this distinguished group you certainly prefer private villas instead of public accommodation like resort hotels in the name of ultimate privacy. If you chose private accommodation, then getting rejuvenation treatments in the same level of privacy would be you preference as well, but is there any private spa around? The answer is yes. A few Bali luxury villas have dedicated spa and in-house therapist allowing you to enjoy the treatment at anytime you want in the privacy of your private villa.
Surrounded by rivers on two sides and rice fiend spanning to the horizon Simona Oasis at Canggu has a dedicated spa where you can enjoy your treatment in the serenity of its peaceful environment.
